The senior managing director of investments at Marcus & Millichap in Miami, Alex Zylberglait focuses on helping clients with issues associated with investment properties and commercial real estate. One of the firm’s top-performing agents, he was not only honored as its top national agent in 2009 and 2014, but also invited to join Forbes Real Estate Council. Active in his professional community, Alex Zylberglait recently attended MIPIM in Cannes, France, as a member of a select group of investment brokers from Marcus & Millichap.

With more than 30,000 attendees, MIPIM is Europe’s largest real estate conference. Past events have featured networking opportunities, guest speakers, various exhibits, and the chance to participate in the MIPIM Awards. Mini-conferences during the event focus on specific specialty areas, giving attendees the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals in these more particular fields.

Conference attendees can participate in or attend the MIPIM Awards, an internationally renowned real estate competition. Finalists are chosen from projects all over the world in categories ranging from urban development and health care projects to resort and tourism and residential development projects. The upcoming 2020 MIPIM Conference and Awards will take place in Cannes from March 10 through 13.

Senior managing director of investments for Marcus & Millichap in Miami, Florida, Alex Zylberglait has handled more than $1.5 billion in transactions. Alex Zylberglait’s professional associations include the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), an international trade association for industrial and commercial real estate brokers.

SIOR will gather for its Fall World Conference in Portland, Oregon, from October 17-19, 2019. In addition to social events such as a pub crawl and tour of the city, participants will hear from two prominent speakers.

For its opening session on Thursday, the conference will present Ben Stein, an economist given to making witty observations about the market and life in general. A speechwriter for President Richard M. Nixon, he is best known for his appearance as the teacher in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Saturday’s featured speaker is Dr. Vikram Mansharamani, a futurist who has appeared in media outlets such as Forbes, Bloomberg News, and The New York Times. Unlike many academics, Dr. Mansharamani believes economic fads can be spotted before they collapse.

Also highlighting the agenda are presentations on topics ranging from smart buildings and executive succession to augmented reality and warehousing.
